Our educational philosophy is firmly grounded in the concept of experiential education. Our educators believe in the value of being in nature to learn about nature.
SCCF's Sanibel Sea School offers science-based, environmentally focused weekly camps, daily and after-school programs, outreach activities, and more for children and adults.
SCCF's garden center offers landscaping advice and educational programs throughout the year.
Our adult education programs range from traditional lecture and classroom programs to experiential learning activities, such as guided trail walks in the interior wetlands.
Mind Your Line is a collaborative effort among Southwest Florida conservation organizations and government partners to reduce the amount of monofilament line and fishing gear left in our environment, which is often detrimental to wildlife.
From a region-specific bird guide, to best replanting practices, to an incentives guide for going green, we offer various online tools that help you be a steward of the environment.
