Weeds ‘n’ Seeds: West Sanibel River Preserve

Weeds ‘n’ Seeds is excited to return to SCCF’s West Sanibel River Preserve after several years without a visit.
Once again, the American Legion (4249 Sanibel Captiva Road, Sanibel) has given us permission to use the western side of their parking lot. We will meet there at 9 a.m. Binoculars encouraged!
This SCCF preserve is a closed inland preserve that looks very different than it did the last time we visited. We will be talking about the habitat changes we see and how plants and wildlife have been impacted since Hurricane Ian.
The trails are overgrown, so sturdy shoes and a walking stick is recommended.
