Weeds ‘n’ Seeds: Bailey Tract

Every Monday, SCCF volunteers and plant experts Ruth Brooks and Karl Werner lead educational and fun Weeds ‘n’ Seeds plant walks on Sanibel and nearby off-island locations.
Enjoy being out in nature while observing common plants. All walks are on Monday mornings, and last about two hours. No reservations or fees are required!
*Participants are encouraged to wear proper footwear for walking through mud/water and vegetation, especially for those events marked with an asterisk!

Feb. 12 : Bailey Tract, J.N. ‘Ding’ Darling National Wildlife Refuge, 9 a.m.
Bailey Tract is located off of Tarpon Bay Road, Sanibel. (Access from Island Inn Road is closed). Parking is limited, so please carpool or ride your bike if possible.
Parking options include:
- We are offering carpooling leaving at 8:45 a,m. from SCCF’s headquarters at 3333 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel
- Park free with a ‘Resident A Parking Sticker’ in beach parking at 520 Tarpon Bay Road and walk 0.3 miles north
- Limited parking at Bailey Tract parking off Tarpon Bay Road
