SCCF and Captiva Cruises will host Sunset Birding Cruises on Jan. 20, Feb. 18, and March 3, 2026. All cruises depart from McCarthy’s Marina, at 11401 Andy Rosse Lane, Captiva.

The January cruise will take place fro 4:15-6:15, and the February and March cruises will take place from 4:45-6:45 p.m.

While cruising the waters of Pine Island Sound, participants will hear about the ecology of the back bay estuary, learn about the SCCF’s shorebird monitoring program, watch birds come in to roost, identify birds along the way and get updates on the islands’ bird populations.
