Join us for our annual Paul McCarthy Memorial Lecture featuring Elizabeth Kolbert, award-winning science journalist and author of The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History. The talk, which will include an engaging conversation with SCCF CEO James Evans, will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Sanibel Community House.

The Paul McCarthy Memorial Lecture Series was conceived by the Boler Family Foundation, which underwrites the speaker fees and expenses, as a way to honor a dear family friend. Paul McCarthy was the founder of Captiva Cruises and an engaged and community-focused presence on the islands for years.

Tickets are $20; $5 for students.
