2026 Paul McCarthy Memorial Lecture with Jean-Michel Cousteau

We’re honored to welcome legendary ocean explorer and filmmaker Jean-Michel Cousteau to Sanibel for our 2026 Paul McCarthy Memorial Lecture on Feb. 6!

The son of renowned French oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel Cousteau has spent decades discovering, documenting, and advocating for the world’s oceans, including through his nonprofit Ocean Futures Society. Cousteau’s award-winning footage and stories will take center stage at the McCarthy Lecture, which will be held at the Sanibel Community House at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6.
