Carley Nolan
Carley grew up in Upstate New York just outside the Adirondack mountains, where her love for the outdoors blossomed. Her sophomore year of college she discovered her passion for coastal wildlife, after completing an environmental education internship with South Carolina’s state parks. There, she taught visitors about local wildlife and conservation efforts while also performing regular husbandry for several species of reptiles, amphibians, and fish. Through this internship, Carley had the opportunity to work with a sea turtle specialist, leaving her with a strong desire to learn more about sea turtle conservation and field work.
After graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2021, Carley began working at SCCF as a sea turtle intern for the 2022 season, where she was finally able to pursue her love for field research. Carley is thrilled to be rejoining SCCF’s sea turtle program for the 2023 season as a technician.
