Allyn International Donates $5K to Sanibel Sea School
Allyn International recently raised over $5,000 through employee donations and their company match initiative for Sanibel Sea School.
Allyn International is a privately-held professional services firm, providing customer-centric services and solutions for the global marketplace. Each quarter, Allyn employees choose a non-profit organization to raise money for through their employee match program. This year, the company’s Fort Myers office chose to give to Sanibel Sea School!
“At Allyn, we believe in giving back to our local community. Each quarter, an employee can nominate a charity of their choosing, and as a group, we will donate and volunteer towards that cause,” said Morgan Nicola, Brand Manager at Allyn International. “Our team was inspired by the Sea School’s mission, and we’re proud to help fund programs and equipment that educate and empower students about our oceans.”
The company helped raise money for new lab equipment to allow students to develop a better understanding of marine life through hands-on learning.
“With these funds, we are able to bring our science lab at our Flagship Campus to life,” said Youth Education Director Shannon Rivard. “Students will be able to collect water samples in the field, observe plankton under a microscope, test water quality, and so much more.”
Allyn’s involvement went beyond monetary funds. Employees joined Sanibel Sea School for a Saturday morning beach clean-up on Sanibel to help remove debris from beaches. The company also joined Marine Science Educators on a guided paddle trip.
These events allowed employees to feel more connected to our mission and underscored the importance of their contribution to Sanibel Sea School.
“Every donation, every hour of volunteering, helps us rise from the challenges of the past few years. Coming off the heels of back-to-back intense storm seasons, we’re still very much in recovery mode. We can’t thank Allyn International enough for their support and belief in our mission,” said Rivard.
