Meeting on Proposed Land-Use Changes at BIG ARTS
SCCF encourages you to attend Lee County’s second meeting seeking public input on potential land-use changes tomorrow evening at BIG ARTS on Sanibel. The meeting will address the county’s proposed Land Development Code (LDC) amendments that threaten the character, environment, and resiliency of our barrier island communities.
Commissioner Kevin Ruane and county staff will present a 10-15 minute PowerPoint. Comments from key stakeholder groups and public comment will be limited to 30 minutes at the 2-hour meeting, according to his office.
No registration is needed to attend. The meeting is Wednesday, Aug. 2, from 6 – 8 p.m. at BIG ARTS, 950 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. The meeting will be live-streamed on the City of Sanibel’s Facebook page. Please click here for an agenda.
This public meeting will be a continuation of the county’s first meeting held on July 13 at the Captiva Civic Association. You can watch a recording of the July 13 meeting and read the transcript here.
