Did you miss SanCap Citizens for a Resilient Future’s Recent Community Event?

Newly formed SanCap Citizens for a Resilient Future, in collaboration with the City of Sanibel, recently hosted the community event “Emerging from Hurricane Ian: Stronger & More Resilient” on March 9. The event featured a keynote address from Sanibel’s first mayor Porter Goss, community stories about Hurricane Ian experiences, and conversations about the need for resiliency into the future.

At the end of the evening, an interactive survey tool was used to gather community data about impacts from the hurricane, concerns about Sanibel’s future, and what topics the resilience group might start focusing on. The SanCap Citizens for a Resilient Future invites those unable to attend the event you to contribute to that data by taking the web-based version of the survey.
