Denise Blough

A turtle lover and bird nerd, Denise helps manage and further the SCCF brand through its social media platforms, events, digital marketing, and content creation. She has over 10 years of experience in social media management, writing, multimedia content creation, digital marketing, and science communication, with past roles at The Ohio State University and The Columbus Dispatch.

Denise holds a B.A. in Journalism and a Master of Environment and Natural Resources from Ohio State, where her master’s paper focused on how lessons from sea turtle conservation can be applied to freshwater turtles and tortoises.

Both a logic and a creative, she is passionate about educating others about wildlife issues and SCCF’s work to preserve biodiversity in Southwest Florida for years to come.
