Amanda Manrique
Amanda grew up in Dallas, Texas with an early love for every animal she encountered and a desire to protect the environments they depended on. She first moved to Florida in 2019 to attend the University of West Florida, where she received her B.S. in Marine Biology. Her early career focused on wildlife rehabilitation, first as a volunteer at the Gulfarium CARE Center rehabilitating sea turtles, and then as an intern at the Orange Beach Wildlife Center working with native wildlife including baby squirrels, box turtles, ospreys, bobcats, and many more.
She began working with SCCF in 2023 as a Sea Turtle Intern where she fell in love with field work. Since then, she has taken on several roles within the Coastal Wildlife department as the Sea Turtle Technician in 2024 and Sea Turtle Biologist in 2025. Amanda took on her latest title in January of 2026 as the Osprey Program Coordinator following the adoption of the monitoring program from The International Osprey Foundation. Her love for learning and taking on new challenges is ever-fulfilled with each new role.
