Stay in the know about wildlife, water quality, and ecosystems on Sanibel and Captiva Islands and in Southwest Florida
Only a Few Openings Left for Florida Master Naturalist Course
Deepen your appreciation for our natural world while learning about the habitats, flora, and fauna of our barrier islands and coastal communities in a 6-week Florida Master Naturalist Coastal Systems course this fall. Sessions will occur weekly on Thursdays from Oct. 29 to Dec. 10.
SCCF Adult Education Director Jenny Evans and Associate Instructor Jim Winn will lead the course, taking participants on field trips to unique ecosystems on Sanibel and in Lee County. SCCF scientists, educators, and policy advocates will also share their work with the class.
A mix of hands-on activities, classroom presentations, and videos round out the course’s content. Space is limited to 20 participants to optimize the student experience, so register soon!
