Calling Artists for SCCF x SCAL ‘Bloom’ Exhibit

September 23, 2026
Pollinator's Paradise Maureen Ginipro

SCCF and the Sanibel-Captiva Art League will host a joint art exhibit at the Bailey Homestead Preserve (1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, FL) from Nov. 12 to Dec. 10.

The exhibit, “Bloom,” will feature fresh works of art that align with SCCF’s mission to protect and care for Southwest Florida’s coastal ecosystems. It celebrates the amazing plants and flowers that bring us beauty and that feed and shelter an abundance of wildlife and pollinators. The example artwork pictured above is “Pollinator’s Paradise,” by Maureen Ginipro.

Exhibit hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. The Homestead will be closed Nov. 11, 26, and 27.

We’re looking for artists to submit their works! If you’d like to submit your work to our exhibit, please hand deliver up to three pieces on Tuesday, Nov. 10, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Bailey Homestead. If any pieces are declined, you’ll be called and asked to pick them up between 1 and 2 p.m. the same day. The entry fee is $20 for up to three pieces, with proof of current membership to SCAL or SCCF. All participating artists are asked to serve as exhibit docents at least twice during the show.

Please see all key dates and important details, and download the artist’s prospectus here.
