SCCF has a great suggestion for two lucky dads out there. Maybe one of them is the guy watching over your family.
Last year, in partnership with Hammerhead Technology, our Coastal Wildlife program launched the SCCF Sea Turtle Tracking Portal, where we are currently tracking three loggerheads on their coastal journeys, as pictured above.
That is so important, as most of our scientific knowledge is gathered when these mamas come on our island shores to nest. Learning about their movements and behavior at sea is an important part of the conservation puzzle.
This work would not be possible without satellite tags, and we have just two more available to launch at $3,000 each.
