Thanks to all of our guests, sponsors, breweries, food trucks, and the Squirrel Nut Zippers for being part of our 12th annual Beer in the Bushes — a swingin’ celebration of our community and the end of another season on April 4!

“We’d like to give a big thank you to Wimmer Communities for being our presenting sponsor for the fifth time,” said SCCF Events Director Jeff Siwicke. “The Wimmers’ connection to our islands goes back as far as SCCF — into the 60s. After first attending Beer in the Bushes in 2018, they recognized it as an event that celebrates our island community for all the right reasons, and they stepped up to support it.”

We are also grateful for the continued support of the Marcum Giving Fund, sponsor of the event’s world-class music.

“The Marcums also appreciate the unique experience that is Beer in the Bushes and have served as music sponsors since 2019,” said Siwicke.

Long-time SCCF supporters, the HM Restaurant Group, which manages Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, Dixie Fish Company, and Bonita Fish Company, joined the top sponsors as first-time Food Truck Alley Sponsor.

Special thanks also go out to Gary and Kaye Pokrant as Swingmaster Sponsors this year, for funding the swing dance troupe that contributed to the evening’s success.

With more sponsors than ever before — many new this year — Beer in the Bushes is SCCF’s way of giving back to the community that gives so much to our mission.

The always surprising, creatively themed event has been dubbed one of the community’s favorite parties of the year, not just because it celebrates the end of the season, but also because it brings the community together for an experience unlike any other.

Thanks to everyone for having a great time while supporting our mission to protect and care for Southwest Florida’s coastal ecosystems!
