Global Security and Climate Change

10:00 am-11:00 am Nature Center

Severe weather events, like this “rain bomb” over Phoenix, AZ that dropped an inch of rain in just 5 minutes, are occurring with greater frequency across the planet as a result of climate change. These changing patterns are increasing flooding, as well as draughts and fires.

As a result, we are seeing unprecedented economic costs, as well as unexpected effects on global and national security impacts.

Join in the discussion at SCCF to understand these issues more fully, as well as the opportunity before us to make change at both the personal level and through policy actions. Ariel will be speaking at SCCF’s Nature Center, 3333 Sanibel Captiva Road on Friday, April 6 at 10 am.
